Hi! I'm Marisa​

 

I am a content creator and graphic designer with over a decade of experience in multimedia design. I believe that I am a swiss army knife of creative skills, that can be an asset to an organization. My personal passions are the outdoors, animals and portrait photography. I come alive at any opportunity that I'm able to work in an arena where my skills and passions overlap.

 

I studied Design at UC Davis, where I learned the ins and outs of visual design and design thinking. While in school, had the opportunity to work on a documentary as a photographer, animator and designer. From there, I went on to become a Director of Media for a nonprofit.​

 

My history with working for nonprofits and my experience as an in-house graphic designer has prepared me to create and manage a broad range of impactful content. In my pursuit of evolving my creativity, I have found that I am always trying out new things (learning animation, how to fly a drone, leveraging AI, etc...) I am adaptable and eager to pick up any skills necessary to get a job done.

 

In terms of pinpointing my expertise in design, I believe it all comes down to storytelling. What tools, information and inspiration do I have that can be used to tell a compelling story?
